About the College:
College of Computing Sciences and Engineering (CCSE) was established upon an Amiri Decree No. (130) for the year 2011. The vision of College of Computing Sciences and Engineering is to become one of the leading colleges in computing sciences, recognized locally and globally for its excellence in teaching, research and community services. The college aims at preparing professional graduates in computing sciences and engineering by offering innovative outcome-based academic programs.
The college programs are taught by renowned faculty members who use state-of-the-art educational facilities and services in a student-centered learning environment. In CCSE, we commit ourselves to generate, disseminate and enrich knowledge through scientific research and contribution to the welfare of the society in the State of Kuwait.
Currently, the college has three departments and offers bachelor degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Information Science. The college also awards master degrees in some of the previous fields of specialty.
The admission policy of the college requires a successful completion of the secondary school, in science major or equivalent, and with a minimum overall score of 80%. The priority of acceptance is for students with the highest (GPA) in secondary school and aptitude test results combined. By the academic year 2013/2014, the college is expected to have 75 faculty members and about 1000 registered students, distributed in the three departments.
In its' continuous quest for development and excellence, College of Computing Science and Engineering is in the process of developing current programs and expanding the availability of new specialized programs to keep up with the demand of computer professionals in the work field. The college also has a future plan of offering doctoral degree programs in computer science fields.
